Bux’s Place was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. From the bullet holes in the bar top to the Deer mounts ranging back to the early 1900s, Bux’s is full of Old West nostalgia. Once a Hotel and Mercantile, Bux’s is the only remaining two-story commercial log building featuring a back bar from the late 1800s. The world-famous neon sign reading “Bux’s Place” dates to the 1930s and has appeared in numerous movies, documentaries, and TV series.
